Our founder and owner of AIR SUPPORT, Per Jensen, has decided to step down as CEO after 33 years in the captain’s seat. Per will continue as a member of the Board of Directors. Pers successor will be AIR SUPPORTs current COO through 5 years, Peter Skovrup Nielsen – read more in the article below.
Our founder and owner of AIR SUPPORT, Per Jensen, has decided to step down as CEO after 33 years in the captain’s seat. Per will continue as a member of the Board of Directors.
“The time has come where it feels right for me to withdraw from the day-to-day management of AIR SUPPORT. To safeguard the company’s future, AIR SUPPORT must be independent of me as a person and as an executive. In the future, I will focus solely on business development within the industry – inside and outside of AIR SUPPORT,” – Per Jensen says.
Commenting on Per Jensen’s decision to step down as CEO, Chairman of the Board Klavs Vejlang says:
“Per Jensen is, and will always be, synonymous with AIR SUPPORT, but Per’s departure from the position as CEO is an important part of the plan for Per and for AIR SUPPORT, a plan we have been working on for several years. I am pleased that we have now reached the point where it is possible to carry out the succession plan in the top management. With Per’s innovative nature, it is a natural step for him to focus all his energy on business development. I look forward to our continued good cooperation on the board.”
With Per Jensen’s decision, the board of AIR SUPPORT has appointed Peter Skovrup Nielsen as the new CEO of AIR SUPPORT with effect from September 29th. Klavs Vejlang continues:

Peter Skovrup Nielsen has been a key member of the executive board and has strongly contributed to the successful development of AIR SUPPORT. In recent years, we have been growing rapidly, we have optimized the organization and the processes that support our operations. In doing so, AIR SUPPORT has streamlined the business, improved profitability, and introduced new and innovative products.”
Peter Skovrup Nielsen is 45 years old and has been the COO of AIR SUPPORT since 2017 when he joined the company after 13 years with Danish Air Transport (DAT).
“It is the biggest vote of confidence to be given responsibility for the company Per has dedicated 33 years to. I am naturally very proud and humbled by that. Together with our talented team, I look forward to leaving my mark on the future development of AIR SUPPORT. It is important for me to carry the company forward in the spirit and with the culture that Per Jensen has ensured since the beginning in 1989 – a spirit where employees, customers, and suppliers are treated with the greatest respect. Only in this way can we continue to be increasingly competitive and develop innovative solutions,” – Peter Skovrup Nielsen says.
As Per Jensen steps down as CEO, he also leaves the Executive Board of AIR SUPPORT, the Executive Board hereafter consists of CEO Peter Skovrup Nielsen, CCO Peter Gravesen, and CSO Henrik Holm.
